On the evening of September 15, Beijing time, in Wuhan, Hubei.
Ms. Leslie Hope, the new U.S. Consul General in Wuhan, hosted a small dinner reception—her first since taking office—to invite representatives from Central China-based companies investing in the United States for face-to-face discussions. Mr. Wang Fei, Executive Director of Chuangfeng Group and CEO of Chuangfeng China, was invited to attend and held in-depth talks with the Consul General and several officials.
The Chuangfeng team expressed its sincere gratitude to the Commercial Section of the U.S. Consulate—from assistance with U.S. visa applications for business trips to the United States to referrals for business matchmaking opportunities, the Consulate’s consistent support has been a key factor in Chuangfeng’s continued expansion into the North American market.

Chinese food has become an “everyday necessity” in the United States.
The Consul General expressed recognition of Chuangfeng’s deep commitment to the global expansion of Chinese cuisine and praised the widespread success of Chuangfeng’s restaurant brands in the U.S. market. Both sides agreed that people around the world share a common pursuit of a better life, and that cuisine is one of the warmest and most direct expressions of that pursuit.
This brings to mind May 2026. President Trump said in Beijing, “In the United States, the number of Chinese restaurants far exceeds the combined total of the top five American fast-food chains.” He also mentioned that, just as many Chinese people love basketball and jeans, Americans’ love for Chinese food has long been woven into their daily lives.
In 2025, the U.S. Chinese restaurant industry comprised nearly 50,000 businesses, with total revenue approaching $30 billion. U.S. consumers searched for “Chinese food” on Google more than 3.35 million times per month, firmly ranking it at the top of the “foreign cuisine” search list.

Food Knows No Borders, Culture Has Power
As Mr. Wang Fei has said on numerous occasions: “We make minor adjustments based on local customers, but our core competitive advantage remains the powerful vitality of Chinese culture.”
Chinese culinary culture is, in fact, one of the most vibrant bonds connecting people around the world.
Let the world get to know China through its flavors, and let Chinese culinary culture not only “go out” but also “go in”—into everyday life and into people’s hearts.
